How to Install a Trailer Cover

Step One: Fitting the Cover Bars

  • Remove the Plastic Caps from the Trailer Cage sides. See Figure 1.
  • Place the Cover Bars over the cage sides at Front and Rear and position flush with the corner where the Plastic Caps were removed. See Figure 2.
  • Drill holes in the cage frame from the top of the Cover Bar through the prepared Bracket holes. Bolt into place using bolts and washers supplied. See Figure 3.
  • Measure the distance between the front and rear Cover Bars (divide by 3) and fit the remaining two bars at the one-third measurement the same way.

Step Two: Fitting the Cover

  • Unzip the trailer Cover at all four corners and drape it over the fitted Cover Bars pulling and positioning it carefully.
  • Once in place, zip the cover up again.
  • Pulling down on one Elastic Tie Down use a marker to pinpoint where you want to drill through the side of the trailer for the rivet heads to go.
  • Measure on the front and rear Tailgate and sides of the Trailer in line with each Elastic Tie Down and make a mark for the drill holes.

Step Three: Installing the Bungy Buttons (two person)

  • Once all the holes are drilled, from the inside of the trailer push the Rivets in the Rivet Gun through each hole in the side and tailgates and have someone on the outside of the Trailer push and hold a Bungy Button onto the protruding Rivet.
  • Rivet the Bungy into place then break off the Bungy Cap and push it into the recess.

From inside the Trailer, push the rivet head through the predrilled hole.

On the outside of the trailer have someone push the bungy onto the protruding rivet head.

When the rivet is secured break off the small cap and push it into the Bungy recess.

When all the Bungy Buttons are in place, pull the Elasticated Tie Downs over the Bungy Buttons on the Tailgates and Sides and the Cover fitting is complete.
